Terms of Service

1. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use AlphaMa. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian. AlphaMa is designed for adult users (parents and caregivers).

3. Account

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or other methods we offer. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. AI Content Disclaimer

AlphaMa uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's speech services) to generate responses, suggestions, and plans.

5. Mental Health Disclaimer

AlphaMa provides emotional support and wellness features as a general wellness tool. It is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care, crisis intervention, or medical treatment.

AlphaMa is not designed or intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. We make no claims that the App can replace professional mental health services.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Use the App to generate harmful, abusive, or harassing content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services
• Use the App to collect or harvest personal information of others

7. Data Processing by Third Parties

By using AlphaMa, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic's servers for AI processing
• Your voice recordings (when using voice features) are sent to OpenAI's servers for transcription and speech synthesis
• Your account data is stored using Google Firebase
• When you connect Google Calendar or Gmail, your data is accessed via Google's APIs
• Each third-party processor handles your data according to their own privacy policies and terms of service

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, features, and branding, is owned by Alpha Mothers and is protected by intellectual property laws. AI-generated responses provided to you during your use of the App are provided for your personal use and do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create and share within the App (messages, photos, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process this content as necessary to provide the App's features (including sending it to AI providers for processing).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpha Mothers, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the App's Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
